Pilgrim's Progress in Modern English - ISBN 0-88270-757-4
Thank goodness I found a modern English version. I've never been able to get through the original, except somehow when I was a child and (apparently) had better reading skills.
We are up through Chapter 4. Christian has left his home, met with Pliable and Obstinate, fallen into the swamp, got out again, and was sidelined by Mr. Worldly Wiseman (Legality).
Today, Christian is at the gate of the narrow road. He met Goodwill and has gotten through the gate, narrowly missing Satan's arrows. At least, I surmise that he was fired upon, as Goodwill grabbed him with some urgency and pulled him through the gate faster.
